Monsignor Romano Ciotola Foundation for Seminarians

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Seminarians are the future of the Catholic Church.

Seminarians sacrifice a normal life for a vocation to follow and spread the teachings of God, improve the lives of others, and comfort those who suffer the vicissitudes of life. To a young man discerning a call to the priesthood, the cost of attending a seminary should not be an obstacle to his vocation. The average annual cost of a seminarian’s education is approximately $40,000. That includes tuition, room and board, health insurance and books. That equates to an average education per newly ordained priest of nearly $250,000.

The foundation is intended to provide a charitable vehicle whose assets are invested professionally with a Catholic conscience. The hope is to grow a fund with enough annual income to result in a percentage payout policy that can generate enough funding to support multiple seminarians.

Donations to the fund ensure continuous support for current and future generations of seminarians. To help further the legacy of this fund, you are invited to consider making a donation or naming the Monsignor Romano Ciotola Foundation for Seminarians in your estate plans.
